NCD CONDUCTS ON THE SPOT CHECKS OF SELECTED SCHOOLS FOR THE ERECTION OF FLAG POLES

Under the auspices of the NCD Director of Programmes, Kalie Sillah, the National Commission for Democracy (NCD) has on Friday, February 19, 2016 conducted on the spot checks of selected schools for the erection of flag poles and the inscription of key national symbols including the National Anthem and National Pledge.

The first of such visits with a view to monitoring progress made in respect of the work undertaken so far was done at the United Mission Primary School, a community school located at Kola Tree, a hilltop community in the outskirts of Calaba Town in the east end of Freetown.

NCD CONCLUDES A THREE DAY STRATEGIC PLANNING RETREAT IN BO


After three days spent at the J & E Resort, Campus View, Towama in Bo, the National Commission for Democracy (NCD) has on Thursday, January 28, 2016 concluded a strategic planning retreat with a view to making NCD strategic in 2016 and beyond.

In his closing remarks to the retreat that attracted the Commissioners, Executive Secretary and staff of the Commission from the four regions and headquarters, the NCD Chairman, Dr. Abubakar H. Kargbo, used the occasion to extend thanks and appreciation to all for the wonderful deliberations that took place during the course of the retreat. He argued that the Commission had succeeded in soliciting the aspirations of its staff vis-à-vis the strategic plan that was put together for the first time in carrying out the work of the Commission.
